My wife and I moved to the area this summer and are so blessed to have such good food options in the neighborhood. While walking around we were greeted by the owners, Mufit and Cliff, who were so kind and gave us great recs in the area. Naturally, we had to come back and try the food. I love their charming outdoor area which is great to enjoy food/drink in this blazingly hot summer. Our server Omer was awesome and attentive. The bread to start is excellent, warm and fluffy accompanied by tangy pink yogurt dip. We really enjoyed the dips to start as well. For mains I had the chicken chops and my wife the chicken shish. I was impressed at how juicy and flavorful the charred chicken breasts were. So tasty. We finished off with kazandibi, a Turkish burnt milk pudding, which was lovely. It reminded me a bit of mochi but more delicate and shared a subtle sweetness/caramelized flavor. My wife has a new favorite dessert now. The service, ambiance and food here are so good!

I've only done takeout from here but Safir is consistently delicious. The baba ghanoush is drool worthy, the kibbeh are excellent, and the manti makes regular ravioli seem blandly lame. Highly recommend this place for a great dinner.

Best turkish food in LIC for sure. We just stumbled upon this place while exploring the neighborhood and were welcomed by very friendly and helpul servers. We ordered Iskander and Chicken chops. Chicken chops were probably the best grilled chicken i ever had. Very juicy and full of flavor. Iskander was served with an amazing sauce. They also serve Pink Sultan with bread complimentry and its sooooo good. Their serving dishes are also so pretty and give a touch of authencity. Overall ambiance is super chill. Will defo recommend. Will return here surely.

I met up with a couple of friends after work and this spot came up as options for dinner. A quick glance at their menu and I was game. To start we had their Greek salad and babaghanoush. Both were delicious, but I think the highlight was the vessel we got it in - the dinner roll breads and puffy bread (this restaurant does any form bread SOOO well). The dinner rolls were light, fluffy, and came out warm. The puffy bread (not sure what it's actually called on the menu) is super crispy and comes out like a hot air balloon filled with hot steam. We also got Lahmacun (flat bread with meat spread on top) - which was tasty and full of spices, even though I'm not the biggest fan of lamb. The Spinach Pide was also good, but nothing I haven't had before - out of all the things I ordered if we had to nix one this one would've ended up on the chopping block. We got the mix meat to share and that was entertainment for the night as it claim with fire burning in the center and the waiter cut open the bread like an envelope to reveal the meats inside. The co-owner, Cliff, came around and introduced himself and thanking us for coming to dine. Super sweet and even gave us rice pudding to share on the house!
